inside the castle

now I tried to make some interior on the castle - had to try the fireplace and then I came up with a Throne which went well.
I have constructed the building so it is supposed to be put together with the other parts of the masterplan - but I think it will wait. these two are 2 out of 9 (in my head)
I have to build something else now... space maybe ..

my first castle since childhood

After getting my hands on some BURPs(Big Ugle Rock Pieces), it felt like time to try out the Castle Theme.
This is only halfway but I'm in brick-shortage so I post some now and round up later.
Some parts are going to be changed. The roof on the tower is not fitting together and the rocks need more ambience.
Inside the castle I will try to make some sort of hall with pillars and stables - but I might let the few bricks I have left show the way.

and the Gas Station...

Not so long ago Heather Braaten wrote a comment on my Mocpage that I couldn't leave it with 2 out of 3 on the anniversary set (10184) and that I should do the Gas Station too.
She is not the only one and compared with the amount (or lack of ) comments I usually get I have to take it in consideration when requests like this come up.
SO I gave it a try.
The first time I did the two others I deliberately left the Gas Station because of the angle.
But I chose to do it in a bit smaller scale - partly because it actually was easier and partly I wouldn't get this big angle sticking out on my fridge.

Here's the result - what do you think ?

by public demand...

some colleagues at lunch today requested the company logo in LEGO - not much fun to make but still a challenge... and a request !

my apartment building

Now I tried to do the place I live - and the guy around the corner always cruising the street with his parrot on the shoulder.
Of-cause I have ambitions to do the whole building, but it will not be right now. I need more bricks of certain a kind and I would rather focus on other building fun. But I might do floor once in a while.

Summer vignette

Well this was just an easy start after many brickless weeks. I wanted to try out a vignette and surface thing, which went ok compared to the experience I have in this theme and time used.

its been a while

SO - This must count as a dark age for me. I have been totally out of touch with the bricks for too long (a few months i think). And thats just when I chose to post once a week and in eng.
And then what I am back with is pathetic - but as promised some interior for the CafeCorner - or at least some billiard on the second floor. I also got some poker game going on at the top floor but that was even worse...
BUT ! - I think I will be able now to pick up my ambition about doing a post a week and I will also do my best to step up the quality of the content - both text and brick-wize.
It's good to brick back !

CC interior

After seeing what interior did for GG I had to start working on atmosphere inside the Cafe and the Hotel.
I got inspired by Cafe de Kroon, that I saw on Brick Town Talk. That cafe was made by Patrick Bosman and he got some great interior work ( besides the fantastic exterior...).
You can see that cafe on Oppienokki's gallery (got the link from TownTalk).
So beside I had to do the pooltable, I now work on getting as much as possible into that tiny space and still not more than needed.
One reason is also that i never really did any interior before - so this is fun !!

More pics will come on that project.

Coffee Friends

I know two guys who got this coffeeshop company that drives around in these little "cars" selling coffee on street corners. I made this MOC for fun and as a tiny tribute to people who dare...

road test

This is how my first shot at a moc-road look like. There are two lampposts cause I tried different stuff.

Visit at LEGO HQ

The coolest businesscard in the world...
on the back is email and phone#.

Wednesday I went on a visit-trip to LEGO HQ in Billund.
This was arranged by the Official Danish AFOL association Byggepladen for 40 members.

The program was fantastic and was as follows:
Firste 1 hour by Jens Kronvold Frederiksen, the Chiefdesigner of Starwars LEGO who also did the USC Millinnium Falcon

Then Jamie Berard talked with us for an hour about the GreenGrocer and CC wich is his work and on his part in the anniversary set.

After this Anders Gaasedal came and talked about his new job at LEGO as technic designer and the motorbike he did wich is out now.

At last and as a great final, Jørgen Vig Knudstorp, CEO, came to tell us about LEGO then, now and in the future. We got the chance to ask a lot of questions and got some great answers.
In all it was a nice day and cool to see the other fans.

More fotos at Byggepladen/brickshelf

Thanks to all and a special one to Jørgen and Jan

The Shack

This weekend I kind of finished 1.draft on a model of my secret place up north.
Although I think I will do some adjustments from time to time.
I had great trouble doing the strange window it has, so thats probably one thing I will change, when I find a better solution. Any sugestions feel free to help.

Mod_4954

I tried to make a Cityversion of #4954 in my 16x16 modular system.

Micro city

After a nice dinner at my friends place, we sat fiddling with a small amount of bricks he happened to have at the table, while waiting for the coffee.
It was a part of #4939 and from this limited portion of bricks we made a micro-city. We never tried it before and it was great fun. We think the result is ok. Sorry for the mobile picture quality.

English !

Because no one so far has had the interest in commenting on my danish blog, I have now chosen to do it in english. You will have to excuse my gramma and endure with my danish syntax.

From this point on I also will ask people to comment in english to make it readable to the broad audience.

Soon I will post my latest project, a model of my "hide-away" and I also have an old-school treat in the molding pot (?) - we are currently trying to locate the box in the attic...

I am looking forward to see your comments and hope you enjoy what I post.

Meanwhile check out the other links in the sidebar - they are most enjoyable.

brick regards

mini version

For at få lidt adspredelse fik jeg lyst til at lave et par mini versioner af to af mine huse.
